Clarity Counseling is seeking a compassionate, independently licensed Mental Health Therapist for a flexible part-time 1099 contractor role in our growing private practice in Leawood, Kansas. Build your preferred client caseload while serving children, adults, and families with the support of our collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand clients’ emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care.
- Educate clients on mental health conditions, coping skills, and available resources to promote recovery and resilience.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines in mental health practice.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Current, independent Kansas license (LSCSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Valid Kansas driver’s license
Preferred
- Experience in private practice or outpatient behavioral health.
- Specialized training or certification in EMDR, Play Therapy, DBT, CBT, ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, or related evidence-based approaches.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, couples, or families.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
